Regis Prograis holds a place among the most honest boxers in modern-age boxing. After losing his super-lightweight title against Devin Haney in December last year, Prograis has now revealed that he would rather fight Isaac Cruz for the WBA super-lightweight title instead of Rolly Romero.

Las Vegas erupted on Saturday night as Isaac Cruz delivered a stunning upset to Rolando Romero in their WBA title fight and Rolly’s first title defense. The fight, part of the Tim TszyuSebastian Fundora co-feature on Premier Boxing Champions’ inaugural Amazon Prime event, saw Pitbull Cruz walk away with Rolly’s WBA welterweight title. When a post hinted at Regis Prograis fighting Rolly Romero next, Rougarou flat-out denied the opportunity.

In a latest post by Thaboxingvoice, they asked an interesting question to the boxing fans. “What’s your thoughts on this Match up?” With this caption, they added the picture of Regis Prograis next to Rolly Romero. Well, when Prograis came across this post, he disagreed with the matchup, as he wants something bigger for himself. He wrote, “F**k Rolly. I want Pitbull for the belt.” So, he’s made it clear that he wants to become a champion once again.

Besides Cruz, Prograis could also face Dalton Smith next. Well, this fight is being pushed by Matchroom promoter Frank Smith.

British promoter Frank Smith is looking to fast-track his fighter Dalton Smith towards a world title shot, with Regis Prograis circling as a potential challenger next. Smith secured a fifth-round knockout against veteran Jose Zepeda last weekend, but questions linger about his readiness for the elite level. While the win was a step up, some saw Smith struggle against the 34-year-old Zepeda.

Enter Regis Prograis, a former two-division champion with a reputation for explosiveness. Smith’s promoter acknowledges the risk, admitting to ESPN, “Regis Prograis is a great fight; that would be an amazing fight. We represent Regis as well, but that would show the level that Dalton Smith is at. But there are lots of big fights to be made. Let’s see.” So, the discussions are still on a preliminary level.
