Floyd Mayweather Jr. vs Manny Pacquiao faced each other in a sensational showdown in May 2015. However, the bout had its share of controversies miring it. It was reported that Mayweather put his ‘adopted’ son in a chokehold a few months prior to fighting Pacquiao.

Devin Cromwell is the son of Mayweather’s former girlfriend, Melissa Brim. The then 19-year-old got into an altercation with Mayweather on October 31, 2014. The altercation began when Mayweather showed up at his mansion in Las Vegas and asked Cromwell’s friends to leave the property. But an irked Cromwell retaliated by telling Mayweather, “You’re not my father!”

His response infuriated Mayweather, who got into a verbal and physical altercation with Cromwell. In fact, things got so out of hand that he held Cromwell in a “rear-naked choke.”

However, it was mentioned that Cromwell did not press charges against Mayweather, as he still helps Brim and her family with money. Moreover, they were living at Mayweather’s mansion at that time.

The Floyd Mayweather vs T.I. fiasco

Floyd Mayweather Jr. is an active pugilist inside the ring. Meanwhile, the champ has also had his share of fights outside the ring. In fact, he was involved in a public altercation with rapper Clifford Joseph Harris Jr. aka T.I. in 2014.

Mayweather was having a meal at Fatburger in Las Vegas when the altercation happened.

It is reported that T.I.’s wife, Tameka, insulted Mayweather. This irked the boxing champ, who retaliated by shouting, “Control your b***h motherf***er.”

The duo then proceeded to have a full-blown altercation. Moreover, Mayweather even mentioned that T.I. allegedly told him he fights in the streets while Mayweather fights in the ring. Further, their teams came in and separated ‘Money’ and T.I.
