The star lightweight Ryan Garcia has been demanding a contest against his rival lightweight champion Gervonta Davis for years. However, his words could not alter the mindset of the southpaw gun. He remained silent and did what he was supposed to do.

But since Garcia had made a rocking comeback and defeated two pugilists back-to-back, one being Emmanuel Tagoe and the other being the former world champion Javier Fortuna, his tone of calling out Davis has become intense. He is more aggressive and eager to take a shot against Floyd Mayweather’s protégé.

Regarding this, ‘The Flash‘ took to Twitter and targeted Davis. He made a bunch of provocative remarks about the three-weight class champion so that the latter agrees to materialize the highly anticipated showdown. However, like earlier ‘Tank’ kept himself away from engaging in insulting verbal warfare with Garcia.

But finally, he broke his silence yesterday.

Michael Benson of TalkSport reported it on Twitter. He wrote, “Gervonta Davis on Ryan Garcia: “I haven’t been going back and forth with Ryan because we all know he’s not a man of his word, but I do know it’s a possibility of the fight happening. So I’d rather stay quiet till the deal is locked. Nothing means anything now.”

Is it high time for Ryan Garcia vs Gervonta Davis clash?

Certainly, the duo never reached out so closely to fix a deal before. The patience of ‘Tank’ kept has played its role. The fight has already created a high buzz as both are among the biggest PPV stars in American boxing.

Earlier, Davis’ promoter did not agree to make this fight happen. Now, since Davis is a free agent after the completion of his contract with Mayweather promotions, the possibility of this clash has increased. Moreover, Garcia has gained a rhythm and had improved a lot, so this contest would be a spectacular one.
