Streaming platform Hulu recently made an announcement about a series based on the life of former world heavyweight champion, Mike Tyson. However, Tyson expressed his displeasure with the platform for ‘stealing his life story’. Meanwhile, Top Rank CEO Bob Arum shared his thoughts on the issue.
Arum was being interviewed by ES News. In conversation, the reporter asked Arum to scrutinize the Tyson-Hulu issue using his background as a lawyer. The reporter said, ” Bob, I want you to put on your attorney hat for a second. Mike Tyson and Hulu have a disagreement. They’re doing an unofficial biography and he’s very unhappy with that.”

In response, Arum mentioned that Tyson might not have much luck legally proceeding with the issue. He said, “Well, legally he doesn’t have a case. You know, because anybody who is a public figure and performs in the public. Anybody can come and write how they did and so forth. That’s part of our democracy.”
Moreover, he further added, “I can see Mike being put out that he doesn’t share in the proceeds. But it is what it is.”
Notably, these words are from the perspective of a Harvard Law School alumnus. And, based on his expert take, it seems certain that Lady Luck would have a hard time shining on Tyson on this issue.
Mike Tyson slams Hulu for the series
Streaming platform Hulu recently mentioned that they would adopt Mike Tyson’s life story in ‘Mike’. Moreover, it was also reported that Trevante Rhodes will play the role of the former heavyweight champ.
