Valdez said, “He wants to win this fight and then go after Bivol. He is very focused on one thing and one thing only. He doesn’t mention anybody else but he mentions Bivol. He wants to beat Bivol.”

Oscar then further added, “After him losing to Bivol, something sparked in him. He brought the animal back. Every day he is working hard, I can see it and he’s looking in great shape, he’s looking in great you know, speed. You know he has that defense. His mindset is different right now.”

Canelo Alvarez will train harder and compete more for a rematch against Bivol
As Canelo Alvarez gears up for his upcoming fight against Ryder, he took the time to address the topic of a potential rematch against Dmitry Bivol during his media workout. He openly admitted to throwing more punches in his second fight against Gennady Golovkin, citing his trainer’s recommendation to throw at least an additional 100 punches as the reason behind his increased activity in the ring.
Then he was asked if he would do the same in a rematch against Bivol, Alvarez nodded to agree with the question. He also stated that if he trains at 100%, nobody can beat him, and that he would be training extra hard and competing more to prepare for a potential rematch against Bivol. Alvarez promised fans that they could expect the resurgence of the 2021 Alvarez.
