Sometimes people mistake skills for power and this is very popular among those who are into bodybuilding. Although the bodybuilders look huge in reality, some are far from being boxers. Certainly lifting weights can contribute towards sculpting a great physique and increasing strength. However, muscle and power are not all that it takes to win a fight sometimes. There are definitely exceptionally skilled boxers with bodybuilder-like structures, however, not all are blessed with such in-ring prowess. Boxers focus on technique, speed, and precision, which may come as a challenge to a typical bodybuilder whose goal has always been in putting on mass and muscle definition.
A verified page on Twitter named BoxingKingdom shared a small video clip of an impressive bodybuilder hitting mitts and wrote, “500 LBS bodybuilder making the switch to professional boxing!”
The clip shows a highly jacked bodybuilder laced with gloves throwing combinations on the mitts. The bodybuilder is seen throwing stiff punches with the trainer showing him the best way to land a hook. The caption of the video claims that the bodybuilder who’s making a switch to professional boxing weighs 500 lbs. However, this information is not verified yet. Many fans took to the comments section of the post to talk about his technique. Some commended his “greek god-like” physique, while others mocked him for taking a shot at a sport that requires him to loosen up his muscles in order to punch effectively. The bodybuilder could certainly be a beginner and definitely has a long road ahead of him, if he intends on taking up boxing seriously.

Think there’s a mistake in this tweet. The word professional was somehow added. Cause if that’s all it takes to be a professional may as well name me WBC cruiserweight champion

I went and made a cup of tea, came back and he still hadn’t finished that combo

Overall, whoever came across this video mocked the bodybuilder’s boxing skills. Now it would be interesting to see when he takes part in a professional boxing match. No doubt, if he keeps training, he may certainly achieve success because, at the end of the day, skills are honed in boxing sessions and not lifting weights.
