In conversation, De La Hoya was asked who he thought would emerge victorious in the upcoming Paul vs. Silva showdown. De La Hoya responded by saying, “That’s a good fight. Wow. I’m gonna go with, I’m gonna go with Jake Paul, just because he seems like he’s getting into the rhythm of things you know.”
Moreover, De La Hoya did not mince words while declaring the potential outcome of the fight. He said, “He doesn’t have too many fights. Loves boxing, is a hard worker. And has a lot of power. He connects Silva, he’s knocking him out. He touches Silva. He’s going down.”
De La Hoya also added that people were judging Silva based on his performance against Julio Cesar Chavez Jr. and Tito Ortiz. However, Chavez Jr. wasn’t his complete self during the fight.
