“He’s Scared”: Vasyl Lomachenko Opens Up About Being Shoved by Devin Haney

Devin Haney will face Vasyl Lomachenko to defend his undisputed lightweight title. This matchup has been long coming in the sport. The boxers have been interested in going head-to-head against each other. And, in less than 24 hours, boxing fans will get to see a spectacular fight at MGM Grand. The tension between the two is no secret. And both the boxers have tried to get inside each other’s heads before the fight. Things got heated between the two at the final press conference before the fight. And, Haney resorted to a move, not many fans were expecting from him.

Haney shoved the Ukrainian back at the face-off. People at the venue could not believe what just had happened and were in shock. Lomachenko recently opened up about his thoughts on being shoved by the champion.

Even though many were shocked to see Haney shoving the Ukrainian back, it seems it has not bothered ‘Loma’. And he rather believes that it is a good sign for him. After this took place at the face-off, Lomachenko opened up about his thoughts on Haney’s action.

Lomachenko said, “He is mine. Now he is mine. He doesn’t have the power. I felt it.” The shoving only seems to have added to the confidence of the ‘Matrix.’ And he has made a claim that Haney doesn’t have the “power” to beat him.

He further added, “He shoved me because he’s scared. He’s scared.” It is safe to say that Lomachenko has made some substantially strong claims ahead of the title fight. However, these two boxers have been exchanging jabs for a while. And all these actions ahead of the fight have only added to the excitement and passion.

Why is this fight crucial for Lomachenko?

This fight is an opportunity for the former unified lightweight king and Olympian Lomachenko to prove his mettle to the world, following his loss to Teofimo Lopez. It is not a secret that the 35-year-old is the underdog going into this fight. But, despite that, he has a chance to become the undisputed lightweight champion in one night.
