“He’s Too Small for Me” – Regis Prograis Talks About Gervonta Davis

A few days back, Gervonta Davis put on the performance of his life against Mario Barrios. This was his very first fight at the super-lightweight frame, and he undeniably captured vast attention and applause from everyone. Also, this win has now enabled him to lock horns with even bigger/better opponents who’d give him a sublime taste of 140-pound boxing.
Moving further, ever since Davis won his fight against Barrios, fans are already imagining him in a fight against Regis Prograis.

Recently, Davis’s rival and former super-lightweight champ, Regis Prograis, spoke to DAZN Boxing and talked about ‘Tank’ and his last performance.
“I still feel like he’s too small for me. I’m not saying he’s too small for 140, but listen, Barrios is not me. And everybody knows it that… Barrios doesn’t have the athletic ability that I have. You know, and he doesn’t have to punch resistance that I have. He definitely doesn’t hit hard. You know, so Barrios is not me.”

“I still think ‘Tank’ is too small for me, but I was impressed. I definitely was impressed. I’m not going to lie,” he said.
Davis faced a lanky Mario Barrios in his astonishing title bout and shocked the bigger boxer.
‘Tank’s power made a tremendous difference in this fight and this eventually helped him claim a fiery win. Now that Davis has bagged his first super-lightweight win, he will look to cement himself in the division.

Will Gervonta Davis and Regis Prograis battle each other out this year?
The ex-champ, Regis Prograis, is keen on rectifying his mistakes and subsequently strengthening his boxing resume. That said, no one better than ‘Tank’ can provide him with a stern in-ring outing. Furthermore, as both the boxers are in their prime, a contest between them will allure fans and fighters alike.
