

Legendary boxer Mike Tyson has seen many highs and lows in his life. He got involved in crime while he was very young, and as a result, he was in juvenile correctional facilities several times. However, he later discovered boxing, which completely altered his life. Even after seeing great success, Tyson once mentioned killing himself.

While Mike Tyson was talking in an interview back in the day, he shed some light on his drug problems in his past. He stated, “Hey, well, check this out- I was planning on killing myself. I was just [overdosing]every night. I was just going full-blown. I was just, Wow! I can’t believe I was waking up.”

He further discussed the harrowing incident that shook him to his bones – the death of his 4-year-old daughter, Exodus. Apparently, the little girl lost her life due to a treadmill accident. It was a big loss for Tyson as a father, which made him go through some tough times.

The boxer might be known by the moniker – The Baddest Man on the Planet, but he had his own share of struggles that sometimes made him think of taking hiw own life. Currently, the veteran athlete hosts his own podcast Hotboxin’ with Mike Tyson, where he shares his life lessons and experiences with fans.

In one of the episodes of his podcast, the former world heavyweight champion got very emotional and said, “Because of my psychology as a young kid, the way I was brought up, I think about doing that to myself a lot(killing himself). All I think about hurting people. I’m no tough guy, but that’s all I’ve been doing, I’m torn sometimes, I want to kill myself too. Everything I did wrong gave me riches and wealth, everything everybody else wanted. But I just wanted to be like everybody else.”
