Ryan Garica is set to face his toughest challenge as of yet. He will square off against Gervonta Davis on the 22nd of April in the T-Mobile arena in Las Vegas. The bout has been anticipated for a substantial amount of time. Arguably, the fight could be the biggest event of this year among many other fan-favorite fights that are lined up.

Both fighters are wagering their undefeated record for the fight. It is safe to say that neither of them seems to be cutting corners in getting an advantage over the other. However, it is worth mentioning that Davis made sure that the terms and conditions for the fight were in his favor. The conditions also went viral in the boxing community which received a lot of criticism. Garcia took a dig at Davis recently on Twitter inferring the same.

Ryan Garcia takes a dig at ‘Tank’ Davis; Refers to the 10-pound rehydration clause

Weight is a determining factor in combat sports. For the same, weight classes exist. And at times, fighters add a rehydration clause so that their opponent does not gain a substantial amount of weight after their weigh-in and before the bout. In the same vein, Davis added a rehydration clause to keep Garcia at a set limit. Some fans argued that Davis was preventing Garcia to come in the best shape he possibly can.

Recently, Davis took to Twitter to take a dig at Garcia. He was referring to a video in which Garcia was hitting the bag. He stated, “7 punches not gonna do it..”

Garcia did not shy away from snapping back at his rival. He mentioned that the stipulation to throw only 7 punches was a limitation imposed on him by Davis. The satire was referring to the rehydration clause. “If you didn’t put in the contract that I can’t throw more then 7 punches then I’d throw more than that,” he tweeted.
