“I didn’t really train, I didn’t really feel excited for that fight. I don’t know what it was, it was just a bill-paying, really mundane day at the office.”
With these comments, it remains clear that Mike lacked the motivation to step under the bright lights. Combat sports fans and pundits had more or less called for the end of Tyson’s reign following the sixth-round finish.

Additionally, Mike Tyson shared his views on fighting on the big stage just to appease his legions of fans.
“Well, you do many times, but in this business, we’re not gonna really get hurt. At least we believe we’re not gonna get hurt. You know this is what we do, this is what we know how to do.”
With his return to the fight game set, Tyson will have an uphill task on his hand in the form of Roy Jones. The 4-division champion fought as recently as 2018 and will be expected to enter the fight with good conditioning. Fight fans eagerly anticipate the return of ‘Iron Mike’ after more than 15 years away from boxing.
