Former boxing world champion Mia St. John has long been an advocate for mental health, drawing from her personal experiences to emphasize the importance of the issue. She had to undergo the tragic demise of her beloved son back in 2014 after he sadly took his own life while in rehab. Since then, Mia has been vocal about the urgent need for improved mental health care. And her loyal fans have always been around sending positive energy.

In April, her daughter was taken into custody after she reportedly took her clothes off at a WinCo in Idaho and started to meditate. As per sources, she was charged with indecent exposure, resisting arrest, and escape. At the time, Mia shared how afraid she was of losing another child. Moreover, the boxing legend is also walking the path of sobriety, struggling against alcoholism after her relapse following 30 years of sobriety.

Mia recently took to Twitter to share what helps her keep her mental health in check. She shared her love for hiking. In the caption she wrote, “Hiking for #mentalhealth 🙏🏼It’s a temporary cure for my anxiety & panic disorder. Now if I only I could hike all day, everyday”.
