Even though their differences were in the past, fate somehow managed to bring them together. In an episode of his podcast Hotboxin, Tyson revealed that King was now his neighbor. Moreover, he also detailed how his first meeting with his former promoter went down.

Mike Tyson terrifies Don King

The former heavyweight champion stated that King lived two homes away from his house in Florida. He even claimed that he went to King’s front door to confront him.

Don King’s my neighbor now in Florida. He lives 2 doors down. I walked down, knocked on his door. He thought he would crush me, he thought I would be crazy because I was there one time a couple of times but he thought I’d be f***d up,” said Tyson.

However, he then added that he had no intention of fighting King and just wanted him to know he was doing well in life. “I wasn’t thinking of fighting, nobody’s fighting. Just want him to know I’m not dead,” he added.

The time Tyson sued Don King for stealing from him

Iron Mike eventually ended up suing King after he accused him of stealing in 1998. Tyson sued King for a whopping $100 million for fraud, conversion, and of concealing revenue from the sale of the non-U.S. broadcast rights of Tyson’s fights. King would try to fight these allegations counter-suing Tyson for defamation.

Both parties reached a settlement, with Tyson getting $14 million in exchange for dropping the $100 million suit. Although this was not the payout the former champ was looking for, he still managed to get the last laugh over King.
