Boxing legend Mike Tyson has been through a lot of physical stress throughout his career. Even for a boxer, his aggressive and hard-hitting style has caused problems for Iron Mike years after his retirement from the sport.

Now at 56 years old, Tyson revealed an incident that sent him to the hospital on a podcast with renowned comedian Kevin Hart.

The pair were discussing Tyson’s life after retirement, which led to Hart asking the former champ about the inception of his podcast.
Tyson responded by stating that one of his old team members suggested the idea after a video of him in a training session went viral,” I don’t know somebody from my old team they decided to put me until I said I think this is ridiculous and then some I don’t know I did an impression and got, half the planet saw it, first hitting the bag.” He told Hart.
He also added that this caused him sciatica pain caused by a herniated disc pressing on a nerve, “I caught sciatica from that and I was in bed for two weeks. I can’t believe three punches, four punches. I’m in the bed with sciatica.” He added.

However, this was not all, as Hart pointed out another video featuring Tyson falling from a hoverboard which also went viral. Iron Mike then revealed that this incident was even worse as it put him in a hospital, even scaring his daughter, “I went to the hospital for that one you know. My daughter said daddy no get off of there and boom.” He said

Although Tyson might have brushed off these injuries during his younger days, it seems like father time has caught up to ‘The Baddest Man On The Planet’.
Tyson reveals he has a ‘cage’ in his spine
The former heavyweight champ once revealed that he had a “cage” in his spine on his podcast with rapper Angie Martinez. Martinez was detailing a car accident that caused her to have metal rods inserted in her spine. Tyson also stated that he also had these rods in his spine.

Tyson’s wife revealed that he had the L4 and L5 vertebrae of the lumbar spine, removed from his body and had these rods inserted to as a substitute for these vertebrae.
