Floyd Mayweather and Gervonta Davis have always maintained a level of respect for each other, despite several disagreements between them in the past. However, ‘Tank’ Davis seems to have finally had enough of the five-division champion. Allegations flew, serious claims were made, as the previously tumultuous relationship between Mayweather and Davis started crumbling on social media!

Just the other day, Davis said Mayweather was trapped in Dubai because he hadn’t paid his bills and some folks were stopping him from leaving. However, after talkSPORT editor Michael Benson recently revealed Mayweather had shared a clip of Shakur Stevenson in his Instagram story, Gervonta Davis lashed out, accusing the legend of being scared of Stevenson’s father.

In the clip shared by Benson, Stevenson can be seen asking Davis to give him the fight he has been asking for. “Gervonta Tank Davis, let’s make the fight happen, man. I am tired of tweeting, I am tired of talking about it. Stop ducking me and let’s make the fight happen, man,” said Stevenson. After learning about Mayweather’s Insta story from a fan, Davis went hog wild.

Responding to the fan, Davis wrote, “Floyd doesn’t like him either..he only siding w that kid [because] he scared of J Prince (the father) and the kid so easy to manipulate, look how he had em go at young boy w the rolls umbrella..kid looking for fame.” Of course, things didn’t stop there, as Davis decided to do a lot more tweeting.

In a following tweet, reacting to an old clip of Stevenson crying after losing an amateur fight, Davis wrote, “He such a clout chaser..ni**a didn’t even have no tears down his eyes. bro, this kid a whole clown.” If that wasn’t enough, Davis followed that by writing, “Kid a b**ch.” However, the question is, how did all this start? Why the sudden revival of their beef?

Technically, Floyd Mayweather started everything, maybe!

The thing is, before Gervonta Davis accused Mayweather of owing money to people in Dubai, Mayweather had actually said in an interview that fighters today are wasting all their money instead of investing it. This seems to have rubbed Davis the wrong way, as he assumed Mayweather was talking about him. Hence, the ‘stuck in Dubai’ comment from Davis.

However, things didn’t end there. Mayweather, being Mayweather, he took their feud further by sharing a clip of Davis dancing on his Instagram story. One would question, what’s wrong with Davis dancing, right? However, Davis might not have taken issue with the clip, rather than the comment attached to it. Alongside the clip, Mayweather had written, “We always knew He had sugar in his Tank.”

With a sudden war of words erupting between Floyd Mayweather and Gervonta Davis, it seems like Davis is ready to make some serious allegations against his former mentor. While it can prove to be an entertaining affair for fans, will it finally convince Tank to fight Shakur Stevenson?
