Tyson Fury is one of the most successful boxers of this era. His brutal knockouts even earned him the moniker, The Gypsy King. But behind a strong and destructible boxer, there is a soft person. He might have defeated the best fighters in the world, but when mental health stands in front of you, it is the most difficult battle that you have to go through. 

Tyson Fury opened up about how he had a tough time going through a mental health crisis. He explains in an interview that he put on his Instagram story, “I just wanted to show the world that, if mental health could bring somebody as big as me, and strong as me. And you know, the stereotype heavyweight champion of the world… to my knees, then it can bring anybody to their knees. And I thought to myself, if I can show the world that you can come back from it… And to get back in shape, and get back to the top… then anybody can do it.”

The champ expressed that he went through the ordeal and put himself back ascending to the top again. He added that if he can do it, then anybody can pull oneself back from the turmoil. 

Tyson Fury hints toward a fight with Oleksandr Usyk 

‘The Gypsy King’ retired in April as he retained his title against Dillian Whyte. However, fans still crave a fight between him and Oleksandr Usyk or Anthony Joshua. The two are set to face each other in a rematch in August. There is a buzz in the air that Fury will return to the ring for his last battle after Usyk vs Joshua. 

While talking to talkSPORT, the retired boxer revealed that he was willing to train AJ to defeat Usyk, but Joshua declined. He further added, “Because when this little middleweight batters the bodybuilder again, he’s gonna lose again, then they’re gonna call for Achilles to come out. They will call and groan for Achilles to come back. And I’m gonna say, ‘Get f***ed, I’m retired, I don’t wanna fight.”
