The recent Floyd Mayweather vs. Deji saw the champ return for yet another exhibition showdown. However, the drama that ensued ringside was what enthralled the fans, a lot more than the fight itself. And one of the main catalysts for this drama happens to be the internet’s very own ‘Problem Child’, Jake Paul. Deji’s trainer, Viddal Riley, had a few choice words to say about the incident.

Paul had earlier alleged that Mayweather had threatened to not enter the ring if Paul was in attendance. In an Instagram story, Paul said, “Floyd wouldn’t fight unless I left. Shallow ego. And KSI refused to be seated near me. Didn’t see him the whole event. Hide and go seek.”

However, it seems like things did not turn out the way Paul mentioned. In fact, Riley spoke about the same on his ‘Ril & Wills’ podcast with co-host Leon Wills. In conversation, Wills shed light on the ‘rumor’ that Paul was not allowed inside the arena during the main event. Riley, in turn, responded by clarifying, “Nah, that’s not true. So basically, I was in the changing room at the time when Floyd was wrapping his hands. On the screen, it’s come that Jake’s people are sitting in his seats. Where his team was meant to be.”

He also mentioned that he had asked Paul and his team to move away from the seats. And find seating elsewhere.

Viddal Riley confirms that Floyd Mayweather Jr. did not kick Jake Paul out

Jake Paul had a lot more antics during the event that shocked both fans and the boxing fraternity. This was especially evident during the co-main event involving Tommy Fury. Paul was seen calling out Fury from the ringside, which almost caused an altercation with Fury’s father, John Fury.

However, these factors did not pave the way for Paul’s eviction. The co-host asked Riley if Paul was there in the arena after Mayweather asked him to get up from his seat. In response, Riley said, “I don’t know. I don’t know. It wasn’t the issue of Floyd not wanting to see Jake. Or Evacuating the building and that.”

Taking Riley’s words into consideration, it seems like Paul had left the arena on his own accord.
