When asked about Paulās victory over Anderson Silva, Matchroom Boxing president Eddie Hearn remarked that heĀ only saw the knockdown and a few moments, but heĀ gave creditĀ to Paul for this feat. Silva is an experienced fighter, despite his age, and Paul demonstrated his value by defeating him, said Hearn.
Hearn further added, āSo I think Jake is improving. I think he is working hard, you know. He does a lot of things wrong in the ring, but heās not a boxer, he has not been around. Like he hasnāt been boxing for years and years. So Anderson Silva, you know, yes, not a boxer, 48, still has spent time fighting. Was a decent stand-up fighter in MMA, but he was very old, but its a win. And I think now, Jake really has to fight a boxer to get. I donāt think heās going to get any, and heās never gonna get the credit. Maybe once or he deserves until he actually fights a professional boxer.ā
