In a Charlo Doubleheader this weekend, the Charlo brothers headlined a card together for the first time in their careers. In the end, both of them successfully defended their titles by giving spectacular performances.

Both brothers have gradually become two of the most well-known fighters in the boxing game over the years. Now that both Jermell and Jermall Charlo have made a name for themselves in the light-middleweight and middleweight division respectively, there is an obvious question that arises in everyone’s mind: Will the two ever face each other? With them being divided by just one weight class, let’s analyze the possibility of a Charlo vs Charlo main-event.

Jermell Charlo (34-1, 18 KOs) became the unified light-middleweight champion after defending his WBC light-middleweight title while winning the WBA (Super), IBF, and the vacant The Ring titles. The victory came against Jeison Rosario in the eighth round via knockout.

Jermall Charlo (31-0, 22 KOs) is the current WBC middleweight champion. He defended his WBC title for a fourth time this weekend against a tough Sergiy Derevyanchenko via unanimous decision.

In an Instagram live video last month, Jermell flipped out on his brother Jermall as he took offense to the latter calling him theLil Charlo.”

Jermell went on a rant against his brother, who even asked him what was wrong in the comments section. Jermell wasn’t too pleased by all of this and stated Jermall fought many opponents whom the former had already beaten. He ended the video by calling himself “The King of 154.”

Now that the two are back on good terms, there isn’t a high possibility of the two fighting soon. Also, both brothers, especially Jermall, have to clear their division first as there are a lot of potential big fights to be made.

Seeing how the division is stacked with great fighters, it will be tough for them to beat all the competitors. If they do, which probably will take a lot of time, it will be interesting to see how things play out if any of them want to become a multi-division champion.
