It has been weeks since Jake Paul has been looking for an opponent for his next fight. On the hunt, several names were suggested as Paul’s next opponent. He was speculated to fight the likes of Andrew Tate, Tommy Fury, and KSI. However, recently it has been announced that ‘The Problem Child’ is set to face former UFC champion Anderson Silva next.

Jake Paul and KSI have been berating each other online for months. As the news of Paul fighting Anderson Silva broke out, KSI took the opportunity and posted an old Tweet from Paul’s coach. Apparently, someone on Twitter mentioned, “Anderson Silva makes sense since Tommy pulled out.” 

Paul’s coach replied, “Does he? 48-year-old MMA fighter?”

Well, the recent news of Paul fighting Silva has come as a treat for boxing fans. The former was often trolled for not going up against a “real fighter”. However, this match-up seems exciting as Paul will be facing an opponent of Silva’s stature. 

Jake Paul is set to face the toughest opponent of his career 

Just a few days back, Anderson Silva received his boxing license from Arizona. Fans were convinced that he did so to fight Paul inside the squared circle. However, it is now confirmed that the two will square off on October 29th in Phoenix, Arizona. The 25-year-old used his promotions company, MVP Promotions, to spread the word to the world via Twitter.

Furthermore, the Ohio native stated, “Every expert, from MMA to boxing, has said Jake Paul won’t fight Anderson Silva. They said Jake Paul is afraid of Anderson Silva, and Jake Paul would lose to Anderson Silva. Well, to all the non-believers – Jake Paul is fighting Anderson Silva.”

Well, Paul has fought UFC fighters like Ben Askren and Tyron Woodley before and defeated both. However, this time it will be different. Although Paul has an age advantage over the 47-year-old Brazilian, the latter’s UFC experience and fighting prowess might become a problem for the American.

Last year, Silva defeated Tito Ortiz and Julio Cesar Chavez Jr. in a boxing setting. Both the fighters seem ready to battle it out, but only time will tell how this fight plays out.
