While speaking to FightHype.com, Mercer got bold as soon as he heard Wilder’s name. The reporter asked Mercer to react to Wilder’s comeback after the latter’s knockout loss the previous year.
To which Mercer replied, “no would it be hard to come back is you gotta learn how to f**king box before you come back.”

Certainly, it’s a big remark from Mercer’s end. He directly questioned the skills of a boxer that has been the torchbearer of American heavyweight in the last decade. The 36-year-old is among the most devastating puncher that ever laced gloves. He made record 10 defenses of his WBC heavyweight title before losing his first contest.
