Manny Pacquiao is taking a giant leap in his career, as he will take on an undefeated world champion in Errol Spence Jr. However, the 72 fight might be his last. Although it is not officially acknowledged, Pacquiao’s’ former rival Keith Thurman has predicted so. Despite there being nothing official from Pacquiao’s team, ‘One-Time’, who validated his prediction, claimed to have heard a few rumors regarding Pac-Man’s retirement.
Speaking with ESNEWS, Keith Thurman said, “Manny [Pacquiao] still wants to be in the ring. We have heard, well I say we heard, but I have heard little rumors. This may be his last performance in the ring. We were already saying that his number of age was getting up there when he performed against me back in 2019.”

However, he also agreed that Manny Pacquiao had unveiled a spectacular performance against him. But that doesn’t clear the doubt regarding the Filipino star’s chances against Errol Spence Jr. Thurman appeared hesitant to believe that Pacquiao can also beat ‘The Truth’, similar to how the 8-division champion beat him.

Hence, a bout against the WBC/IBF world champion Errol Spence Jr., might not be the departing fight that Manny Pacquiao would want to have in his glittery career. But the Senator of the Philippines has never run away from any challenges. While he hasn’t talked about retirement yet, the upcoming welterweight title fight remains the next big step for Manny Pacquiao.

PBC will host the fight to determine the WBC, IBF, and the (vacant) Ring welterweight champion. The event will happen at the T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas with another title fight being pitched on the main card. According to the reports of Box Rec, WBA titlist Yordenis Ugas would also defend his belt.

However, he still doesn’t have an official opponent onboard yet. One can expect this to change in the coming days. Hence, that fight, too, will intrigue one and all and serve as a prelude to the welterweight thriller featuring ‘Pac-Man’ and ‘The Truth’.
