On September 29, Manny Pacquiao announced his departure from the sport of boxing. After winning 62 of his 72 professional bouts and becoming a champion in eight different divisions, Manny Pacquiao is now finally closing this 26-year-long chapter in his life.
Many were surprised when Pacquiao agreed to fight Yordenis Ugas in August. Even at 42, he looked strong, fast, and agile; his form was perhaps even better than most still in their ‘prime’.
However, his age definitely factored into the picture in his last fight. As a result, the Cuban WBA (Super) welterweight champion retained his title and defeated Pacman via unanimous decision.
