For the last few years, both Matchroom and Sky Sports have put several thrilling events together. This new extension promises to bring in even more exciting boxing content in the near future.

Many other broadcasters have reached out to Eddie Hearn to lay a new contract, but the Matchroom supremo has no intention of scrapping a deal with Sky Sports.

In their last contract, Sky Sports agreed to broadcast 120 fights for six years, i.e. 20 live boxing events per year. Sky Sports helped in packaging and delivering content for Matchroom’s boxers through its conventional television channel, digital platforms, blogs, podcasts, and more.

This has enabled the spread of the sport and given a huge platform to the pugilists to shine.
