YouTuber turned boxing sensation, Jake Paul, has made his position as a noteworthy cog in the wheel called boxing. Moreover, a fight with Paul is considered a major payday for his opponents. However, it seems like this payday is an ‘issue’ for certain fighters. In fact, Bare Knuckle Fighting Championship contender Mike Perry also stated that money was the reason behind his fight against Paul not reaching fruition.

Brendan Schaub was hosting the latest episode of ‘Food Truck Diaries‘. And Perry was present as the guest for the episode. In conversation, he mentioned that organizations like the UFC and Bellator haven’t signed him, as he is an expensive fighter. Perry said, “I know that my money is a problem for UFC right now. Which doesn’t make sense to me.”

Schaub then asked if he wants them to match the money that he makes at the Bare Knuckle Fighting Championship. In response, Perry nodded in agreement. Moreover, he delved into his potential fight with Paul. He said, “Jake Paul’s people told me the same thing. The money I’m making right now is an issue. When these people have the pockets to fill it. I guess they’re just doing business.”

However, Perry added that his management team would not listen to such excuses from others. And that his team is well aware of what he is worth.

Mike Perry feels that he is the perfect opponent for Jake Paul

Fans have always wondered who would be a perfect opponent for Jake Paul, so as to prove his mettle. In fact, Mike Perry might just have the answer for the same.

Perry called out Paul during an interview with TMZ. He said, “If you want to be solidified as a real athlete, as a real fighter, and not someone who just fights tomato cans and basketball players — you want to be a real boxer, then ‘Platinum’ Perry is the opponent for you, buddy.”

He also added that he will not chase Paul for a fight. However, he will be there when Paul is ready.
