Former world heavyweight champion Mike Tyson might have been one of the most feared names in the world of boxing. However, outside the ring, Tyson is one of the most wholesome individuals out there. He is often seen extending support to both artists and fans alike. In fact, ‘The Baddest Man on The Planet’ was recently seen standing in solidarity with a 14-year-old singer who was a cancer survivor.

An upcoming singer named Alexis Silva recently took to Instagram to announce the release of her latest music video. Moreover, in the caption, she opened up about her health during its production. Silva said, “I filmed this video a day before surgery. I felt so much worry and pain. But I knew I couldn’t give up. I hope when others watch it they feel that sense of hope and are inspired to keep fighting!”

Tyson, on the other hand, was elated to see Silva’s post. He went on to share her post as an Instagram Story and also commended her for fighting for her dream. It is also worth mentioning that Tyson’s friend Damon Elliot was the song’s producer who also received a special mention in his story.

Mike Tyson once made a secret trip to a children’s cancer hospital

Recent times have seen Tyson being vocal about the uncertainty of life. Moreover, Tyson has also been a strong believer in lending a helping hand. In an interview with TheSun, boxing manager, Shelly Finkel opened up about the time when Tyson made a secret trip to kids cancer hospital in Arizona.

He said, “We were in Arizona. And while he was training he said, look I’ll do a drop-in at a children’s cancer hospital. We go there and a lot of cameras were following us. And he said, ‘Shell, stop them’. I said, ‘What do you mean?’ He said, ‘Shelly, I don’t want them in the hospital. I’m not exploiting these kids for my visit’.”
