Mike Tyson pays tribute to Sugar Ray Robinson

The former heavyweight boxing champion had a conversation with legendary comedian Tommy Davidson about the late great boxer Sugar Ray Robinson. During the podcast, Davidson asked Tyson about his thoughts on Robinson as a fighter. Tyson responded with great admiration, “You know why I respect these guys? These guys that they kicking people’s a**, beating people’s ass and when somebody starts beating their a**, these guys can take it.”

Davidson then asked Tyson how many fights Robinson had, to which Tyson replied, “He had 201 fights.” Tyson continued to explain that Robinson had over 500 amateur fights, starting when he was only 10 years old. “So he turned pro late like 21 right, but he had 500 or 600 amateur fights!!” Tyson said in amazement.
