Mike Tyson Reveals How a Peanut Almost Killed Him

Boxing historian Mike Tyson is not new to uncanny situations that have left him devastated for some time. Starting from brawls, controversies, and crime, Tyson’s larger-than-life persona has revolved around several things. However, it’s quite surprising to know that the world champion had almost lost his life because of a peanut.
Aged 55, Tyson has a lot of memories to look back at. He details a lot of them in his HotBoxin’ podcast and recently revealed how he could have died. In a chat with ex NHL player Daniel Carcillo, Tyson addressed several things of his life, including the near-death experience.
He said, “Do you believe? Me and peanuts are something and it get caught in my throat and I am [panting]. And it came out, and I was already dozing off. So, boom, I hit the floor.”

“I would have died and no one would have known. Well, isn’t that s*** some of the creepy thing. F*** peanut.”
Mike Tyson also impersonated how he lost his breath because of the peanut being stuck in his throat. Although the incident had no importance to any of the current scenarios, it thrilled many as Tyson acted himself throughout the whole interaction.
Well, this was one of the many bizarre situations that Tyson had faced in his life. On recalling it all, Mike Tyson might come up with many such memories in the future. Nevertheless, he still has a love for fighting. In November 2020, Mike Tyson returned to boxing in an exhibition fight against Roy Jones Jr. and amused several people. While he may not repeat the same again, Tyson’s place is cemented in the history books for all the right reasons.
