‘Money Can’t Buy Taste’: Floyd Mayweather Trolled for Sporting ‘Cheap Sh*t’ Dollar Store Watch’

Boxing legend Floyd Mayweather has become notorious for spending copious sums of money on expensive things. The former 5-division champ has some of the most expensive items in the world under his ownership which includes a plethora of watches, cars mansions, and private jets.

However, ‘Money’ has often been questioned for his taste as some of the items he owns certainly don’t fall under the norms. This was proved after he showed off the latest watch in his luxury collection which stands out from most of the watches in the market

A look into the latest edition of Floyd Mayweather’s watch collection

An Instagram page by the name of Luxury watches revealed that Mayweather was seen wearing an Audemars Piguet Rainbow ‘Chandelier’ watch. Moreover, the page also stated that the watch was customized from scratch and is encrusted with baguette-cut sapphires, emeralds, rubies and diamonds.

The watch looked similar to a rainbow in color as the photo showed ‘TBE’ sporting the watch. However, the fans were not on board with Mayweather’s watch as they trolled him for wearing the out-of-the-box watch.

One fan stated that the watch was not worth, whatever price Mayweather paid for it. “Not worth whatever he paid.” he wrote.

Another fan claimed that the watch looked like a kid’s toy. “Looks like a kids watch” he wrote

Moreover, one fan rubbed salt in the wound stating that all the money in the world cannot buy good taste. “Money can’t buy taste” he wrote.

Another fan confirmed that Mayweather had a bad taste in watches. “He really does have awful taste in watches,” he wrote.

One fan claimed that ‘Money’ has run out of ideas to spend his wealth on and thus bought things like these. “He’s officially run out of ideas on what to spend his money on, money can’t buy style” he wrote.

Lastly, a fan compared the expensive watch to one that can be purchased in a dollar store. “looks like a cheap sh*t dollar store watch” he wrote.

The fans were quick to dismiss Mayweather’s watch as a useless purchase not fit for his status. However, this is not the first time Mayweather has purchased something out of this world. The boxing legend has more often than not been this way and certainly can spend his money on whatever he desires, even if he is not appreciated for it sometimes.
