Multi-weight world champion Oscar De La Hoya is fortunate to have found success both inside and outside the boxing ring. Once a vicious puncher, the 48-year-old is now a successful promoter and has a roster full of elites at his Golden Boy stable. Hence, De La Hoya is rightly successful, wealthy, and famous, all of which has come as a result of his sheer dedication to boxing.
However, the former champion is not free of pain as he has claimed to carry the burden of his mother’s death. De La Hoya lost his mother at an early age, even before he was successful. Hence, he couldn’t award her with a lot of luxury. Speaking with Mike Tyson from the HotBoxin podcast, he addressed the situation and made several of his fans emotional.
