Anthony Joshua is set to emulate Tyson Fury‘s path by taking on former UFC fighter Francis Ngannou in Saudi Arabia next month. Following a setback where he lost his world titles, Joshua is focused on rebuilding his career and enters 2024 riding high on a three-fight winning streak. Ngannou nearly pulled off a significant upset when he knocked down Fury during their fight last October. Now, the former UFC heavyweight champion, with only his second boxing match, is gearing up to take on Anthony Joshua on March 8th. Meanwhile, Eddie Hearn is busy hyping up the fight.

Hearn posted an image on his Instagram with Joshua in camp; however, not all fans were kind in the comments section of the post. What opinions do they hold regarding the upcoming fight?

Eddie Hearn thinks Anthony Joshua looks “sensational”

The caption on the post read, “Number 1 – nothing else to say! Good catch up with @anthonyjoshua looking sensational in camp ahead of the #JoshuaNgannou mega fight March 8 in Riyadh!” It had a picture of the two standing shoulder-to-shoulder with one another. Joshua is preparing with everything at his training camp before taking on the beast who knocked down Tyson Fury.

One advantage he believes he has that Fury did not is the 10-round clip from the ‘Predator’s last fight. While Hearn believes that if AJ is brutal enough, he will win the fight by stoppage, Ngannou does not consider Joshua an enormous threat. But what about the fans?

Fans not sure about AJ winning against Francis Ngannou

Fans did not quite share Hearn’s opinion. One fan questioned Joshua’s capabilities. “How can a man that has back to back losses to another man be number one????? Keep on dreaming Eddie,” said the fan.

Another reminded Hearn of the time when he mocked Fury for fighting Ngannou. “Just make me laugh when Tyson was fighting in Francis Eddie was saying it was an absolute joke. So why is Joshua fighting Francis in my opinion, Joshua should be fighting Dubois or Zang that’s just my opinion,” wrote the fan recalling his earlier comment on Ngannou.

“Ngannou gonna take his soul,” predicted another fan.

“Number one what ? Fights Fury’s left overs and has no belts . Lost to the number one twice . You really need to stop su*king Joshua off fella,” said another fan, reminding Hearn of Joshua’s achievements, or rather, a lack of it.

“Always nice to see AJ smiling, he has been through a lot, but ad they say, if youvare going through hell, well just keep on going,” said one who stood up for AJ in this battle of heavyweights.
