In 2019, Gervonta Davis arranged a school supplies giveaway to “give back” to the kids of Baltimore, a city that ‘Tank’ felt backed him a lot. Davis considered the event “a way of showing my appreciation” and felt it “important” to “give back to the kids” who unfortunately did not have parents. Hence, ‘Tank’, in an attempt to “help them out” and solidify his connection with Baltimore, donated as many as “300 school bags and assorted school supplies“.
As per PBC, in the mentioned event, the Lightweight champion also made arrangements for food, games, and refreshments. Speaking with the media, Davis later declared that the entire budget for the event came “out of my own pocket”. Once again, Davis, who feels there are children who look up to him, recently arranged a giveaway event and donated school supplies to underprivileged kids. However, according to a number of fans, Davis has not received sufficient media coverage for the deed.

Meanwhile, one claimed Davis, who is going to rematch Isaac Cruz, did not crave media attention. In their opinion, Davis did it simply out of love and care.
L – I don’t think Tank did this for media attention and I don’t think he called the media out to cover the event. He doesn’t seem that type. He did this because he wanted to do this. And it’s good to see.

However, one announced, “No handcuffs no headlines! Salute to the young G! Salute t“.
