Following the end of the anticipated Anderson Silva fight, Jake Paul is contemplating a potential pro match with Floyd Mayweather in boxing. Logan Paul, the elder brother of Jake Paul, fought ‘TBE’ in June of last year. Since it was an exhibition fight, none was declared a winner at the end of the fight. Jake Paul, who recently beat Anderson Silva in boxing, talked about a fight with none other than ‘Money’.

Speaking with Ariel Helwani from MMA Hour, Paul acknowledged his desire to fight Floyd Mayweather in an “actual pro” fight. Mayweather, with whom Paul ran into an altercation last year prior to the Logan Paul fight, is still a “massive draw” according to ‘The Problem Child’.

Speaking of his future in boxing, Paul said, “It would be interesting still to fight Floyd though in an actual professional bout. Yeah, first of all that’s still a big fight and he’s still a massive, massive draw. And if it was an actual pro match, I think people would be super interested.”

Hearing Paul’s desire, Helwani pointed out that Paul was much bigger than Mayweather in the ring. Paul offered a solution to it if they were to fight. Here is what he said next.

Jake Paul will come down to 165lbs to fight Floyd Mayweather in an actual pro fight

Paul is willing to come down to 175lbs. According to him, if Mayweather came down to 165, the commission would approve this fight. He said, “So, he fought my brother. Logan was weighing 190. I could get to 175. Floyd could weigh 165. The commission would approve that. I would love to take his ‘0’ and it would be a massive, you know, massive fight as far as pay-per-views [are concerned].”

One user said, “Bro he’s like 50 and says 140 pounds. Nobody would be interested in that.”

While someone said, “There are weight classes for a reason and if they go the exhibition route like Floyd did with Logan, then the “0” isn’t even on the line. This dude wants nothing to do with anyone who possesses a combo of his size, age & relative skill level.”

Similarly, one added saying, “Mate you’ve got 50 pounds on him.”

Likewise, one said, “25 year old cruiserweight (200lb) Jake Paul, who is 6ft 1”, wants to fight retired 45 year old, 5ft 8” boxer who’s never fought above 154lbs in his career and have won titles at weights as low as 130lb.”

Finally, one added, “You’re half his age and twice his size. Where’s the sport in that? Props (I guess) for fighting Silva, but at some point shouldn’t you fight a boxer?”
