Who will be the next Floyd Mayweather Jr?

Nate Jones won a bronze medal in the heavyweight division at the 1996 Olympics and took to his YouTube channel to share his thoughts on the young boxers in the sport. He was asked who he thinks would be the next Floyd Mayweather between Devin Haney and Shakur Stevenson. And the former professional boxer had a well-thought answer to this question.

Jones said, “In my personal experience, I think Shakur Stevenson is better than Devin Haney. Shakur Stevenson may be better than Tank Davis.” And Jones further said that he thinks they are the two best boxers in the game.

‘The snake’ also discussed Stevenson’s chances of becoming as great as Floyd Mayweather.

He said, “Stevenson has a better chance of becoming the next Floyd Mayweather or to come close to what Floyd accomplished.”

But, the former pro also discussed Davis and said, “Davis is going to be a knockout artist like Mike Tyson.” And he made a comparison between how Stevenson doesn’t get hit a lot like Mayweather Jr.

The potential undisputed fight between Haney and Stevenson

Shakur Stevenson is ready to take on a new challenge in his professional career. After dominating the featherweight division, he is transitioning to the lightweight division and is eyeing some big fights. And one anticipated fight is the fight between Devin Haney and Shakur Stevenson.

The former undisputed featherweight champion believes that a fight with Haney is inevitable. And it is an undisputed title fight, the fans would love to spectate.

Stevenson will step inside the ring on April 8, making his lightweight debut against Shuichiro Yoshino. It is safe to say that there is some time before the world witnesses a clash between the two. But, whenever these two clashes, it will be sensational for the sport and the fans.
