Ryan Garcia turns Mexican! The American boxer, whose social media has become a hot topic, left a message for his fans ahead of his fight with Devin Haney. However, the flavor of the message was in Spanish as he tried his hand at the language. So, what did he have to say?

‘KingRy’ turned to his Instagram handle and posted a clip of him thanking his fans. He also used Peso Pluma‘s song ‘Tulum’ in the heartfelt post. As his first language is English, Garcia appeared to be struggling with Spanish a bit as he failed to find flow and fluency. Therefore, the 25-year-old asked the Mexican singer to help him out with the language. “Please @pesopluma help me bro 🇲🇽🇲🇽,” Garcia wrote in the caption.

In the clip, Garcia starts by uttering, “Gracias fans de todo el mundo,” which translates to “Thank you fans from all over the world.” Following this, the 24-1 record holder admitted his lack of fluency with Spanish, saying, “All my fans in the world, I hope I said that right. Gracias.”

Garcia then kept on repeating the same message as he declared, “Gracias me fans de todo el mundo.” There was more. He also dropped a message in the comment section of the post and extended his love even to the fans who don’t accept him. The Victorville native wrote, “Although some of my Mexicans do not accept me, I still love you and fight for you and for God.”

Garcia’s social media posts have evoked concerns among fans and his upcoming fight’s stakeholders. They have the impression that he is struggling with his mental health. However, his promoter, Oscar De La Hoya, has clarified that Garcia was in high spirits and was focused on the fight. While Garcia’s posts continue to attract eyeballs, the boxer-turned-promoter believes some of his earlier posts were not to be taken seriously.

Oscar De La Hoya assures of Ryan Garcia’s diligence

De La Hoya told DAZN that Garcia was working hard in the gym. He said, “Ryan Garcia… he’s in great spirits. He’s working his a** off in the gym. Don’t mind the posts, that takes like five, 10 seconds of his time. He’s working had very single minute of the day.”
