Forget limousines and press conferences. Ryan Garcia, the flamboyant lightweight contender, just redefined the art of the grand entrance. He rode in on a white horse, shaking up the Devin Haney presser and leaving everyone talking. This wasn’t just about transportation; it was a statement. A declaration of Garcia’s unique style, his unwavering charisma, and his flair for the dramatic.

He wants the boxing world to remember this fight – and with this entrance, he’s guaranteed it. Furthermore, he made it even more evident that it wasn’t a spontaneous thing that he decided to do out of nowhere. It was all planned, and he even had the permission of the Los Angeles Police Department.

After his strange antic, Ryan Garcia decided to give his fans a sneak peek behind the scenes that allowed him to pull the horse stunt perfectly. In the video, he can be seen talking to a police officer about how he should go about this unique idea, while not imposing any harm to the civilians around the venue. Well, to that, police officer Brett advised him to do it sneakily.

Officer Brett said, “I think we can eliminate a lot of issues. There’s a parking lot, it’s like an L, right? So if we have the horse in the L-shaped, no one’s gonna see it who’s at the venue, right? You can get on right there and ride through around the corner and no one’s gonna know that you didn’t even ride down the street.”

Furthermore, he stated, “You ride right around the corner and come back to the parking lot, it’ll be as if you did. But we’ll eliminate the issues of riding it on the street.”

Even though these antics are definitely garnering a lot of attention, many still don’t think Garcia is in the right mind for this fight. And this may cost him the first shot at the world title as he’s planning to snatch Haney’s WBC super lightweight title.

Is Garcia mentally ready to face Devin Haney?

Garcia’s social media antics, including a questionable post seemingly showing marijuana use just weeks before the fight, raised eyebrows. Then, a noticeably muffled voice during the press conference sparked accusations from Haney about co*aine use. Garcia, flustered, denied the claims and offered a drug test, but also admitted to partying and the pressures of fame.

This pre-fight drama is a strange mix of immaturity and vulnerability. Garcia’s attempt to project strength with comments about the “weight of the world” on his shoulders falls flat. It ended up showcasing weakness on his part rather than power. Furthermore, during the conference, when Haney kept asking Garcia whether he was planning to show up at the fight, ‘KingRy’ didn’t really respond to his statements.

In fact, he could be seen using his phone during that entire team. This didn’t seem a bit normal on Garcia’s part, and many questioned his true intentions regarding his upcoming fight. What do you think about this? Will Garcia show up? Tell us in the comments section.

My passion for sweet science began at the tender age of 12, a gift from my father who introduced me to the legendary persona of Muhammad Ali. In my heart, 'The Rumble in the Jungle' still remains to be the pinnacle of sporting history. Over the years, my fervor for boxing remained intact, although life's commitments sometimes deviated me from being a hardcore fan of the sport.
