Lightweight phenom Ryan Garcia, and WBA (Regular) lightweight world champion Gervonta Davis, recently battled it out in a quest for lightweight glory. The fight in itself was undoubtedly a spectacle for fans. The drama surrounding it played a significant role in hyping up the fight and keeping fans on the edge of their seats in anticipation. One of the most intriguing beef surrounding the fight was between Davis and Garcia’s brother, Sean Garcia. The recently released epilogue to the fight showed ‘Tank’ trash-talking the younger Garcia.

Before the fight, Garcia sent his brother to observe Davis getting his hands wrapped. This was when Davis proceeded to take a swipe at his, then upcoming, opponent. Meanwhile, it is worth noting that his presence came at a time when rumors were circulating that ‘Tank’ had an eye on Garcia’s camp with the help of spies.

And, the digs began the moment the younger Garcia entered Davis’ room, with ‘Tank’ exclaiming, “He don’t know nothing. He’s a kid, he’s still wet behind the ears. Oh yeah, the rep get hard when you get wet. He ain’t gonna know, he ain’t been in the game long enough to know.” Garcia, on the other hand, retorted by saying that Davis will ‘feel it right away’ when hit.

This statement, however, did not sit with Davis, who further continued his tirade by adding, “I’m a different type of beast. I’m gonna hit him so hard, you’re gonna feel it.” While the words might have been a little too harsh, it sure looked like Davis was confident about how his skills will fare against Garcia’s.

Fans were intrigued by the banter between Gervonta Davis and Sean Garcia

This back-and-forth between Davis and Garcia’s younger brother Sean quickly caught the eye of fans. Boxing editor Michael Benson even reshared a screenshot of the same as a tweet. And fans took to social media to share their thoughts on it.

A few fans were confused as to why Garcia sent his ‘younger brother into the lion’s den’. Moreover, user dubszz2228 added that the cutman is usually sent in this instance.
