WBA (Regular) lightweight champion, Gervonta Davis, is currently one of the most iconic phenomenons in the lightweight division. There is no denying that fans have been anticipating his long-awaited showdown with Ryan Garcia. However, it is also said that a fight with the division’s undisputed champion, Devin Haney, might actually propel him to lightweight superstardom. In fact, Davis had a few choice words to say about the same in a recent interview.

‘Tank‘ currently has two fights in a row planned out for 2023. He will be fighting Hector Garcia in January 2023, and Ryan Garcia in April 2023.
Meanwhile, Davis was recently a guest on The Rize Podcast, hosted by Coach Squeeze, Senior Cobbs and Kenny Ellis. It is worth mentioning that Ellis was also Davis’ coach. Moreover, podcaster Blue Blood Sports TV was also in attendance. The group was talking about the sparring session Davis had with Haney.

In conversation, Blue said, “I was also told that Davin got the best of you during the last sparring session.”
Davis, on the other hand, was not too pleased with the podcaster’s statement. He strongly disagreed, while also stressing that he had taken Haney out during the sparing session. In fact, he also mentioned that he ‘knocked him out‘ of Floyd Mayweather’s gym.
Gervonta Davis wants to fight Devin Haney after the Ryan Garcia fight
Podcaster Blue Blood Sports TV undoubtedly did not sit well with Gervonta Davis. And, this, in turn, might have paved the way for a potential fight between Davis and Devin Haney.

Davis said, “If your want a fight ni**a set it up. You know you could get them right. You could get in touch with them, right? If you wanna fight, set it up after the Ryan fight. And that’s what it is. So to Devin and his dad to get off my d*ck. That’s what I said.”
Moreover, he went on to call them out by asking them to stay prepared.
