Shakur Stevenson chased a fight with Oscar Valdez for a long time. The young gun won the WBO super-featherweight title in his last outing and since then, he’s only vowed to fight the Mexican boxer. Now, both the undefeated fighters seem to be on the line to square off with each other in a massive setting.

Stevenson stated that he’s signed the contract to fight Oscar Valdez in his next outing. Also, this fight will materialize on April 30 for the WBO and WBC title unification.

There isn’t an official announcement from either of the fighters, but it’s expected to arrive soon.

Stevenson climbed the ladders of the 130-pound division real quick. In his last fight, he dethroned the WBO champ, Jamel Herring, in a one-sided outing. From the first bell, ‘Fearless’ applied immense pressure on his adversary, pressing him constantly with his aggressive approach.

As a result, Herring did not have any answers to Stevenson’s assault, and he ended up capitulating to a T/KO loss in round 10. With that, ‘Fearless’ put himself on top of the division, opening himself up for some momentous fights.

However, Stevenson only had one opponent in mind, and that was Oscar Valdez. Time by time, the 24-year-old showed his keenness to square with the fellow undefeated fighter. Now, he’s in for the fight he wanted and Stevenson will only look to go big from hereon.
