In a recent interview, Lopez talked about the sensational fight between Crawford and Spence Jr. He revealed why as per him, the winner of this fight would be the genuine face of boxing. Lopez won his previous bout against Josh Taylor via a unanimous decision. The Brooklyn born fighter announced his retirement after the fight.

In an interview with FightHype, Teofimo Lopez talked about the upcoming Welterweight fight. He also talked about how the winner of this fight will become the “legitimate” face of boxing. Spence Jr and Crawford recently had their first press conference for the fight.

When asked about what he thinks about the fight, Lopez said, “Spence Crawford, man, great fight, great event. That’s about to happen July 29th. It’s a great fight for the sport of boxing.” Further talking about the face of boxing, he added, “Whoever wins this fight in my eyes is the face of boxing. And, that’s how it should be, not no social media face of boxing.”
