The hotspot of boxing, Canelo Alvarez, never steps back from taking up the challenges, regardless of the results. This year, he took a shot at the light-heavyweight champion, Dmitry Bivol, and lost. The bout clearly showed that the Mexican was putting pressure on himself by moving up in a weight class that was not naturally fit for him. Despite this, he was ready to rematch Bivol again.

The reason, he wanted to fight at 175 lbs is that he thinks it would lead him to the path of greatness. Undoubtedly, he has every right to experiment with his art.

Before colliding with Bivol, Alvarez expressed that he wanted to test his skills against unified heavyweight champion, Oleksandr Usyk, at catchweight. He was confident of defeating him. However, things changed when he lost to Bivol.

Now when Usyk has defeated the former two-time heavyweight champion, Anthony Joshua, Alvarez is urged to face AJ, despite the five stone difference.

Alvarez is all set to defend his undisputed middleweight title in the coming month against unified middleweight champion, Gennady Golovkin. Before that, the speculations about his fight with AJ caught his attention.

“The fact some people actually think Canelo would win is laughable,” another fan wrote.
