There is no doubt that the high priest of the heavyweight division, Tyson Fury, is having a hard time staying retired. In fact, the ‘Gypsy King’ recently expressed his desire to come out of retirement to face Derek Chisora. However, it seems like the WBC president has given him an ultimatum to make up his mind.
WBC president Mauricio Sulaiman has declared that they've given Tyson Fury two weeks (until Aug 26th) to confirm his retirement in writing as a final decision. If he does this, they will then address the situation with the WBC heavyweight world title. [@IzquierdazoBox]

WBC president Mauricio Sulaiman revealed that Fury had been given two weeks, until August 26, 2022, to announce his decision formally. Moreover, he would also have to provide the same in writing.

Notably, Fury had recently vacated The Ring heavyweight title after announcing his retirement. And with the Anthony Joshua vs Oleksandr Usyk fight in focus, Sulaiman wished to make a decision about the WBC heavyweight title as well.

Fury took to Twitter on his birthday to post a photograph of his boxing trainer, SugarHill Steward, and himself. Moreover, he wrote in the captions, “MASSIVE THANKS TO EVERYONE WHO HAD AN INPUT IN MY CAREER OVER THE YEARS & AFTER LONG HARD CONVERSATIONS IV FINALLY DECIDED TO WALK AWAY & ON MY 34th BIRTHDAY I SAY Bon voyage.”
