Tyson Fury to Earn More Than Deontay Wilder for the Trilogy Fight

The heavyweight division has come to life in the last few days with all the drama. After Deontay Wilder won his arbitration case regarding the trilogy bout, Tyson Fury had to give up the undisputed title bout with Joshua and face ‘The Bronze Bomber.’ And now, we have more details about their trilogy fight.
Reports suggest that the two heavyweights could meet as early as July 24. Furthermore, rumors also confirmed that Wilder has signed his side of the contract, and ‘The Gypsy King’ will do the same in the next few days. As a result, we now know how much each fighter will earn for this massive event.

Michael Benson from talkSPORT was the first to report the news. He took to his Twitter to confirm that per a pre-existing clause, they would split the fight earnings 60/40 in favor of the winner of the second fight i.e. the 30-0-1 champion. For the second fight, however, Wilder and Fury had a 50/50 split.

Despite bagging 60%, this could still be less than Fury’s potential earnings with the ‘AJ’ event.
Tyson Fury and Deontay Wilder’s demands
Despite the tweet revealing that Fury would earn more, it did not bring any figures to light. The complete breakdown will also include the PPV share and other aspects. Therefore, we will only find out the exact numbers after the event. However, money was another topic of debate between the two.

Despite the ruling, Fury could have still faced Joshua for the undisputed title if they paid Deontay Wilder step-aside money. However, he claimed ‘The Bronze Bomber’ demanded $20 million to step aside. And these demands did not go down well with the champion.
