After his loss against Dmitry Bivol this May, Canelo Alvarez is all busy gearing up for his upcoming third fight against Gennady GGG Golovkin. The bout will take place on September 17, and the Mexican phenom Alvarez will put his undisputed super middleweight championship on the line. Following an overwhelming defeat at 175lbs in the lightweight division, the Alvarez vs. GGG 3 is worth catching for two particular reasons – one, to see Alvarez bounce back and settle down, and two, to see if Golovkin can avenge his only loss in pro boxing.

Amid the ongoing training camp for the third GGG fight, Alvarez was recently filmed giving boxing lessons to his 3-year-old son Saul Adiel Alvarez. The Mexican phenom took some time for his son present in the gym and showed the same a few punches to work the pads.

According to Canelo Alvarez, his son dreams of becoming a boxer one day and likewise, he watches his father’s fighting clips on YouTube. Although Alvarez wishes his son showed interest in something other than boxing, the Mexican phenom is there to support his beloved son and his cherished dreams. However, while training, the little Alvarez complained of pain. With love and care, the following is what Alvarez then said:

“Well, you’re a boxer. Boxers don’t cry. No, but let me explain something. There are times when something is hurting, then it’s ok to cry. Ok? A lot of times, you have to get things out by crying and that’s ok.”
