The modern era heavyweight division of boxing is filled with undefeated and highly talented technicians. In that elite list, Oleksandr Usyk, too, ranks among the most prominent hotshots of the division. Nowadays, he’s in the news headlines as he’s aligned to face the stout British warrior, Anthony Joshua, in a mammoth 12-round slugfest. This fight will take place on September 25th for Joshua’s belts.
But recently, the Ukrainian boxer garnered the attention of social media for a hilarious reason. The 34-year-old, who challenged a young gun to a rock-paper-scissor game, ended up losing the same. Consequently, he had to shave his head as a part of the challenge.

Usyk is currently immersed in some stringent boxing routines. But in between the same, he tried to have some leisure time with such quirky challenges. Despite this, his attention from giving his best in preparations will not have wavered. As a fight with Anthony Joshua is no less than a dream contest for the Ukrainian boxer, he’s totally in to give his ultimate shot in this contest.
The southpaw locked horns with Derek Chisora in his last outing. In what was his first big test at this weight class, Usyk certainly displayed some class in those 12-rounds. With that win, he even claimed the WBO inter-continental heavyweight title and made himself viable for a shot against Joshua.

A fight with Anthony Joshua will open countless opportunities for Usyk in the future. He will undoubtedly get his hands on the biggest of adversaries in the division, thus allowing himself to be tested in deep waters.

However, first, he will have to strategize on how he’d beat Joshua, who is one of the hardest hitters in the game. ‘AJ’ is a skilled technician who just needs one clean shot to close the show.
