The entire heavyweight division is currently on hold as several fights have fallen apart. Firstly, the trilogy contest between Tyson Fury and Deontay Wilder fell off after the latter has failed to come up with an official date.

Now, the rematch between Alexander Povetkin and Dillian Whyte is also delayed after the former tested positive for COVID-19. That said, Matchroom CEO Eddie Hearn has come up with a solution. He wants to set up a fight between Dillian Whyte and Tyson Fury to bring forth a heavyweight blockbuster for the fans. However, many want Derek Chisora to slide into the mix.

Coming off from a hard-fought battle against Usyk, the ‘War; wants to face Whyte for the third time. He has expressed his desire via social media. However, Eddie Hearn has recently clarified that why he considers Tyson Fury vs Dillian Whyte to be a better fight than Chisora vs Whyte 3.

Tyson Fury vs Dillian Whyte is still the priority for Eddie Hearn

The entire trail began with an Instagram post, which was about the upcoming lightweight thriller between Devin Haney and Yuriorkis Gamboa. Hearn posted a picture of Gamboa and Haney from the past, to reminisce how quickly the ‘Dream’ has entered the sport’s elite.

Meanwhile, the comment section turned out to be a place for heavyweight talks, as people wanted to clarify the ongoing doubts in the division. An internet user inquired as to why isn’t Chisora being prioritized against ‘The Body Snatcher’.

In response, Hearn wrote, “A huge number of PPV buys? I pose a similar question to you. Why would Fury fight Agit Kabayel?”

While both Fury and Whyte are out of big names for their upcoming fights, they can save the day by locking horns against each other. However, ‘The Gypsy King’ hasn’t talked much about his next opponent.
