

Hollywood actor, Will Smith, was slammed by multiple celebrities for his infamous Oscar slapping incident. And former world heavyweight champion Mike Tyson also had a few choice words to say about the Oscar controversy. However, Smith once expressed his admiration for the champ prior to the incident.

Smith had always been a fan of Tyson. Their camaraderie extended beyond the sport of boxing as well. Moreover, he reposted a video of Tyson’s sparring session.
The video showed the champ moving dangerously fast for his age.

Meanwhile, he was also seen exerting sheer raw power behind each punch. Smith even wrote in the captions that Tyson was his hero. And, he was also surprised that Tyson was 53 years old at that time.
It should also be noted that this video resurfaced at a time when fans have been concerned about Tyson’s health.
Tyson was seen using a cane while limping and struggling to walk. And he was also seen using a wheelchair to get about. It was reported that he had a sciatica flare-up.
Notably, sciatica is a condition that involved throbbing pain through the sciatic nerve near the lower back, hips, and legs.
Mike Tyson advises Will Smith on the Oscar incident
The 94th Academy awards that took place on March 27, 2022, at the Dolby Theatre in Hollywood, Los Angeles, was marred by controversy. In fact, the infamous slap incident even overshadowed the first Oscar win of Will Smith’s career.
Meanwhile, ‘The Baddest Man on The Planet’ had an interesting take on the incident.

Tyson was with Ric Flair ahead of his ‘Hotboxin with Mike Tyson’ podcast. Talking about the incident, Flair mentioned that he felt that it was staged. He said, “I can speak for myself, and I’m pretty sure I’m speaking for Mike: If I didn’t like a remark, for any reason whatsoever, that somebody said about my wife, I would be punching them, not slapping them.”
‘Iron’ Mike also chimed in by mentioning that it will be a lot more than one punch. Moreover, he added, “I think Will needs to eat some of these Mike Bites and just chill out.”
Notably, Mike Bites is Tyson’s brand of cannabis-based gummies shaped like Evander Holyfield’s ears.
