Tyson Fury’s next opponent has caused a stir in the boxing world. As soon as this year started, he teased the boxing fraternity with an undisputed title fight against Oleksandr Usyk. However, he failed to make the fight come to fruition and the excitement of fans turned to disappointment. But that disappointment turned into frustration after the WBC heavyweight champion announced his next fight against Francis Ngannou.

Ngannou is a known figure in the combat sports world renowned for his tenacity, power, and ferocious style of fighting. Not to mention, the MMA fighter is the former UFC heavyweight champion. However, Ngannou is far from being an out-and-out boxer. In fact,  he is yet to make his debut in the squared circle. And the fight against Fury, the undefeated heavyweight champion, will be his first professional bout. 

From Uysk to Ngannou, many boxing fans were livid at Fury’s decision. On paper, the bout does not appear to be competitive and fails to excite a significant section of the boxing world. If not Usyk, most fans expected the champion to face formidable contenders in the field of boxing.

In a recent video, the ‘Gypsy King’ was seen in the ring— sparring a MMA fighter who is evidently smaller than him in size. Amidst the current narrative of Fury dodging formidable competition, some fans grabbed the opportunity to critique him even further.

Fans cut Tyson Fury no slack after his sparring session with MMA fighter

In a recent video, Fury is seen in a boxing ring, having a sparring session with an MMA fighter. The said MMA fighter is significantly lighter in terms of weight when compared to Fury. However, that did not discourage the boxer to come forward and charge at Fury. However, he seemed to be no match for the ‘Gypsy King. The video was posted by Fury’s energy-drink brand on their Instagram account Furocity.

On the contrary, a fan named amywillsher1 was satisfied to see Fury face a combatant from a different discipline. She stated, “Let’s goooo”

Along similar lines, asher_boxing23 is a huge fan of the boxer and considers him the best. He states, “The goat”

Most fans are not so pleased with Fury and his next bout. However, certain dedicated fans will continue being a supporter of the heavyweight boxer.
