Former UFC welterweight champion Tyron Woodley took to Twitter and spoke out on his boxing bout against Jake Paul. ‘The Chosen One’ clashed with Paul back in August at the Rocket Mortgage Fieldhouse in Cleveland, Ohio. Jake Paul extended his winning streak to 4-0 as he walked away with the split decision victory on the judges’ scorecards.

Despite suffering a close defeat, Woodley believed he had done enough to secure the win against his adversary in Paul. Moreover, he felt as though he won out on every facet of their interaction leading up to the fight as well, a claim Paul vehemently denies.

In Woodley’s recent tweet, he once again echoes such sentiments after referencing a pre-fight sit-down interview they had.

It’s clear that Tyron Woodley believes he outperformed ‘The Problem Child’ in every way in the lead-up to the contest. However, it is Jake Paul who walked away with the win and is ultimately carrying on with his boxing career. He intends to keep his run as a professional boxer alive and hopefully clinch a world championship by the time he’s 10-0.

The aftermath of Paul vs Woodley

The combat sports community was thoroughly entertained by the aftermath of the aforementioned contest due to the drama that followed. Per their initial agreement, the loser of the fight would get a tattoo of the winner on their body. Tyron Woodley made his best attempt at immediately selling a rematch when he posted an ‘I love Jake Paul’ tattoo across his finger.

However, Woodley stated that he was a ‘man of his word’ and was keen to follow through on his promise. However, it’s hard to overlook the fact that Woodley was likely positioning himself for a rematch.

However, things have played out differently and Jake Paul is set to face Tommy Fury on December 18. Both men are undefeated and the fight is being billed as ‘One will fall’, thus upping these stakes right off the bat. It seems as though ‘The Problem Child’ got the better end of the bargain following his dealing with Woodley.
